Greenearth Landscape carried out an LVIA and produced landscape plans and photomontages for this solar scheme in the Dorset National Landscape, at Eype, near Bridport in Dorset.
Renewable Energy in a Sensitive Site
The owner of the land needed a sustainable source of energy for their holiday park but as this site is located in the Dorset National Landscape near to the Jurassic Coast there was a high bar in terms of evidence required to demonstrate that the scheme would not cause unacceptable landscape or visual effects. Greenearth Landscape were involved in liaison with Dorset Council throughout the process of assessment and design. An LVIA was carried out and a series of photomontages were produced to illustrate the potential effects of the development. This work informed the design of a landscape plan that included hedgerows and an orchard using local heritage varieties of Dorset apple trees.
