Development near the Settlement Edge

Greenearth Landscape produced an LVIA for this small solar farm on the edge of the village of Ilton in Somerset. The site has inherent sensitivity as it is crossed by a public right of way that is used extensively by residents of the nearby Ilton village. The assessment considered the baseline situation and likely landscape and visual effects, including the impact on views experienced by users of the footpath. The proposal was granted planning permission in December 2023 and construction of the installation is now complete.
