A New Concrete Production Facility
We assessed the landscape and visual impacts of this industrial facility near Holsworthy in North Devon. The LVIA informed the design of a comprehensive landscape scheme including native woodland and tree planting, species rich grassland and a drainage basin seeded with wetland grassland species.
Balancing Industrial needs with Landscape
This industrial plant is located on a hitherto agricultural field parcel with a rural setting. The challenge was to balance the need for a new industrial facility with the need to preserve the landscape character and preserve biodiversity. The LVIA that Greenearth Landscape carried out highlighted landscape and visual constraints and opportunities and this in turn informed a landscape scheme that included native woodland planting that would help the new development assimilate into the landscape context. A stream corridor runs along the northern edge of the site and the scheme sought to enhance this with native scrub planting and species rich native meadow and wetland seeding.
