We were commisioned to produce a landscape and visual impact assessment and landscape design for this plasma fractionation facility in Barnstaple, North Devon.
Responsive Design
This project comprised development of a plasma fractionation facility in Barnstaple, North Devon. The site is located adjacent to the existing plant but extending into the green edge of Barnstaple, replacing an area of grassland with built development. We produced an LVIA that assessed the potential impact of the proposal and made recommendations for landscape mitigation. Working with the constraints and opportunities presented we produced plans that responded to the context, a wooded setting with a stream corridor, providing a landscape that would serve the amenity needs, with an outdoor seating area, with the requirement to preserve dark corridors and an ecological buffer running along the stream corridor.
